We’re proud today to announce SafeBrowse. Our new app is a web browser that’s fast and sleek – use the search bar to find what you’re looking for quickly and easily.
However, that’s not the main feature. The search bar has Google’s SafeSearch technology enabled by default – so you can be sure your children aren’t looking at content they shouldn’t be.
Setting SafeBrowse as your default browser
To ensure your children’s safety and disable Safari, please follow the following steps:
1. From the home screen, open Settings.
2. Click on “General”
3. Next, choose “Restrictions” to turn that feature on (if it is not already on, you need to enter a 4-digit passcode).
4. In the Restrictions menu, you will then drag the slider under the “Safari” option to “OFF”.
5. Install SafeBrowse.
Your children can now only browse the web with SafeBrowse, ensuring their online safety.
